Anything the world might avail me will be flawed if differences exist between it and my ideal.

  • get plastic surgery,
  • color your hair,
  • get a better job,
  • open your marriage/relationship,
  • act tough or sweet,
  • etc, Ad Nauseam,

A. find a lover.

B. keep your spouse or lover.

The best we can say of these unfounded beliefs is that they are unreliable. A chickens instinct causes it to brood on a wooden egg. Our human cognitive ability to anticipate and make decisions based on unrealistic expectations causes us to deceive ourselves. Years that we cannot replace are often at stake when we make life changing decisions guided by prejudiced ideas about circumstances and not the facts.
