Pleasure for its own sake becomes a part of a life well lived. Pleasure and or experience is valuable even if it leads to nothing beyond that event itself. Like the drinking in of a sunset that sets the sky on fire and takes your breath away, it is not a waste of time, regardless that it leads to nothing else including no profit. It costs nothing and we feel lucky not to have missed it.
